{"id":3245,"date":"2025-02-08T01:52:08","date_gmt":"2025-02-08T01:52:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.genealogyatheart.com\/?p=3245"},"modified":"2025-02-08T01:52:09","modified_gmt":"2025-02-08T01:52:09","slug":"microsoft-word-copilot-work-around","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.genealogyatheart.com\/?p=3245","title":{"rendered":"Microsoft Word Copilot Work Around"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"505\" height=\"75\" src=\"https:\/\/www.genealogyatheart.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/image-5.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3246\" style=\"width:630px;height:auto\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.genealogyatheart.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/image-5.png 505w, https:\/\/www.genealogyatheart.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/image-5-300x45.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 505px) 85vw, 505px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Are you sick of trying to type on Microsoft Word and you get the above?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>My husband found a quick way to get rid of it. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Bring up a Word doc<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Go to File on the Ribbon and click<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Go all the way to the last option at the bottom of the left hand side &#8211; &#8220;Options&#8221; and click<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>On the left side of the popup, click &#8220;Copilot&#8221;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>On the next popup, click the box that has the white check in the blue box in front of Enable Copilot  (You want to UNCheck it)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click &#8220;OK&#8221; at the bottom<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The document will be clear of the verbage and will not allow you to use Copilot AI. <\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>If you ever need to use Copilot, simply go back by following steps 1-4 and click the box to enable. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Easy Peasy!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Just wish that Microsoft let people know ahead of time of these rollouts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Are you sick of trying to type on Microsoft Word and you get the above?
